Some Whys aren't Answerable.

"Brother, is that your real nail ?" one random girl with extra white teeth asked me when I was waiting for the bus for office. Why did she called me brother ? Are there no any relations which can be used in order to address a stranger ?

"Yes…" I replied just a single word with a fake smile. I was being rude to her. Did she sense my rudeness ? I doubt.

"How old is your nail ?" she asked again.
Why was she after the age of my nail ? Lets say its 4 years. What would you do ? Enroll my nail in Montessori ? Huh ?

"I haven't trimmed it since the Earthquake." I wasn't interested to talk with her but still I replied with the fakest smile that any homo sapiens can generate. Why to be rude with strangers ?

"Why are you growing this nail ? Are you going to be Guniness Book's record holder ?" she asked showing all teeths, those extra-white teeths. I could sense sarcasm there. I've faced this type of questions millions of times. (Not millions actually but thousands )

"My bus is here." I lied her and climbed a bus of Ring Road although I was supposed to go Bhaktapur. I had no interest to talk with her.

Why am I growing the nail ? Why ? Some whys are not answerable dear. I am growing my nail because I wanted to. Simple.
One day I will loose the interest in my nail then I will trim them. Why are you searching for a logic in it ?

"Why do you always wear black dress ?" a new intern in my office asked. Because, I don't have any other clothes dear. I do have only black coloured clothes as of now. What to do in that situation.

"Its because I do have fair complexion and black colour makes a nice contrast." I replied very illogical answer. Did she believe that ? I guess so.

Why do I always wear black clothes ? Why ? Some whys are not answerable. One fine day I was visiting a cloth-store, the shopkeeper sold me a black shirt. I wore that. While looking at the mirror I suddenly decided that I'll wear only black clothes from today. Simple. Why to share these things to other people ? There is no point in it.

"Why do you want to study BBA ?" this was the first question that I faced during my interview for studying BBA. A wrinkled face teacher with grey hair asked this question without making eye contact to me. He was writing something in paper. I could clearly sense that this question was asked to every students although the interviewer has no interest in the answer.

"Because I want to be an Entrepreneur." I replied. Haha, that was a pure lie. I never thought of studying BBA in order to be an entrepreneur. I couldn't find any other course, so I studied BBA. Why ?

In our life, we do face lots of whys. Why do you need this ? Why did you do this ? Why this ? Why that ? Why ? Why Why ?

The word 'why' needs a reason, a logic. We don't have logic for everything. Some whys are not answerable. What would you reply if your partner says Why do you love me ? What would your mother reply if you ask her why did you give birth to me ?
