"How much is for this?" I showed a big hole in my shoe. He investigated my shoe like Sherlock Holmes.
"25 rupees" He told without looking at me.
I was standing near the Minbhawan Gate bargaining with a Cobbler.

"It is just a small hole" I lied him in the daylight to reduce the cost.
He looked at me and at shoe.
"Okay, Give 20 rupees" He told in tired voice.
"I have only 15 rupees. I cant pay more than that."
I used my helplessness as my weapon to reduce it. Customer always tries to reduce the price. I was being a true customer.

I guessed he was feeling bored because of me. He was trying to avoid me but he could not do so. Customers are God in business.

"Okay, Give 15 rupees" he replied in a dead voice. It was quite difficult to hear it.
"Okay" I said. He started stitching it. I was regretting why didn't I bargain for 10 rupees.
In 3 minutes he finished his work and I paid him 15 rupees. Earning 5 rupees per minute. It was very good business. Was I thinking of becoming Cobbler? Apparently not.

After wearing the shoe I started chatting with him. I started from the formal talks like his name, address etc.

"How much actually it cost you to stitch my shoe?" I asked him as he was feeling comfortable talking with me.
"Just thread of 2 rupees, my time and my skill" he replied laughing. I gave his skill 2 rupees, his time 1 rupee. It means it cost him only 5 rupees.
Oh my God! His profit was double of the actual cost. Honestly I found this business very profitable. Earning 5 rupees per minutes. It means earning more than 3600 in a day. One can beat Binod Chaudhary in earning in this rate.

"Why are you stitching shoes in road? Rent one Shutter, Start one Shoe Mending Store. You will earn more. You will make your own concrete house in future." I started giving him some bulls about business. It was the symptoms of studying BBA.
He laughed continuously for 2 and half minutes. "I am mending shoes since 30 years. I had built 3 storied concrete building in Bihar. I paid plenty of dowry in my daughter's marriage. My son is doing Bachelor's Degree. And you are teaching me how to do business now." He told and started laughing again.

I did not like his laughter this time. I said to myself, "Why don't we have Manpower to mend shoes? Why are we making this Bihari rich? One can earn lots my being Cobbler. Why are our brothers going abroad?"

I stood up and started walking towards Campus. He was still laughing very loudly. Does he get money for his laughter? If not why he laughs this much?
